My Poetry Wants to Fly in Many Directions!
Introduction
Introduction:
Nature
I have a deep love for the oceans and forests of our Mother Earth.
Nature has so much to teach us, so much beauty and healing to give us.
The World I Live In As A Therapist
I have long felt that we need as a society to really hear the voices and experiences of those hurt and in pain, the abused, forgotten and alone. Perhaps in hearing their stories we will all be moved to action, each in our own way, to heal and bring healing.
The Need to Play
The human condition is exciting, there is a need to laugh at ourselves and enjoy this universe we have all created together, a yearning to love ourselves, to dance, sing, share, speak and know joy.
Explore
This vast and wonderful universe we have created around ourselves contains hidden worlds, forgotten memories and future dreams.
I have a poet’s soul and a love of word, come join me and let’s adventure together in the great and grand forest of verse!

Arise
I step through the doorway of a New Year
A celebration of life unfolds before me
I am changed, new, fresh
I embrace all parts of who I am
Vow to know myself, forgive myself, move forward
I step confidently through the shadows
Allowing any darkness to only open my eyes wider
I see more clearly the perfection of all life
I heed the call of ancient voices
They sing their guidance through each day and moment and hour
I run freely through the sunlight
Becoming a child again, playful
Open to exploration, the rainbow of all life
I feel more clearly the complete perfection of the universe
I step forward into a New Year I have never seen before
I am fully open to it’s many gifts and new adventures
The time for the dissolving of all thresholds is now
I heed the wisdom of future angels
They blend into everyday dreams and daily life
I enter a New Year filled with light and ever-changing energy
I open the window of the soul
And the sparkle of a million stars spills out on to my path
I am alive with the light of a New World

Deep, so deep
in the heart of the forest
there is a light
so pure, so clear, so sparkling
so warm
that I wonder if life begins there
a magical place that shines and glows
filled with a harmony and peace I want to know
Deep
in the heart of the forest
there is a sound
so light, so serene, so captivating
fine crystal bells ring between moments
a leaf’s sweet message whispered to sky
the perfect music of stillness
ancient tones of the universe live here
Deep
in the heart of the forest
there is a bird
so lyrical, so beautiful, so free
with a voice that enters many worlds
wings etched with colors of sunrise
he floats on gossamer-gold streaks of sunlight
his song melts away all the noise
Deep, so deep
in the heart of the forest
there is a tree
so tall, so majestic, so wise, leaves kissed with green and yellow
warm colors absorbed from the heart light
roots deep into Earth center, head dancing with sun fire
he tells me stories of the many worlds he lives in
he tells me of his friends, wind and rain
Deep
in the heart of the forest, there is peace
deep in the heart, there is stillness, primordial visions of the known
to stand in that center is to breathe light and freedom
to hear only tranquility, to speak only truth, to know only oneness
we, are like the forest, from the center comes life, the life of the universe
so pure, so clear, so sparkling
deep in the heart, is so much light

I climb to the third floor of shopper’s paradise.
Moving stairs keep me going.
Safe from the world at last, I will fear no evil.
I am embraced by the soft wom of the mall,
rocking me out of the real world
and into sweet oblivion.
I am free to stretch at last, through the city of the future.
Neon colors flashing, climate controlled, scented air,
I breathe in people and money.
Specialty shops and restaurants, over a million stores,
you can tell a lot about those who shop the mall.
But what can you tell about those who walk the mall?
Ignorance is bliss.
Each moment here is bright, shiny, new.
I search for wisdom in the gaps,
happiness in all the things I can’t afford to buy.
The world is my oyster, I shall not want.
The food court rules over me, offering me delights of paper and plastic food.
Too pretty to pass over my lips, my cup runneth over.
I am satisfied by a deeper comfort.,
a truer sensation, safe and comfortable, clean and bland.
I want to walk through the valley of the modern world forever.
The kingdom of the mall,
I want to dwell in, all the days of my …..life?

Where are we?
what is this muddy blue-green oasis we travel on?
can it be home
or is it a strange and alien craft
that flies through a stormy dark night
the passengers seem so afraid, uneasy
eyes confused, hearts divided
can this really be home?
If I turn very quickly
what will be there, what will I see
the nervous glances of friends, the sharpness of a stranger’s eyes
I don’t really know these bodies
moving stiffly through this ark of a planet
only their hearts are familiar
but it is a faint familiarness
this strange place can’t really be home!
A breeze of sweet perfume
caught in the air of a hot summer night, drifting away for a moment
then gone, is it real, are these strangers real?
or are we all alone
nosily walking through separate universes
only joined by a dart of light
that escapes here and there, then and now
are we really lost?
Who are we?
children of the night who cannot trust each other
tethered to the cord of mother Earth
but floating
out-of-balance
trying so hard to hang on
caught in a blue-green jungle
this, can’t really, be hearth and home
Or have we just missed the warmth of the fireplace
so out-of-control, we forget to warm our hands
to feel the light touch our spirits
afraid to let our hearts connect
with the curious friends surrounding us
we don’t feel safe
the world is a scary maze
the other mice run after us
Even our own bodies laugh at us, sometimes
but our hearts know
like some silent shiny secret
that knowingness escapes here and there, then and now
we are home, we are really home!
we belong here
belong to this mother Earth
who only longs to hold us, lovingly
Our brothers and sisters know too
we are home!
we belong here, our planet belongs here
held and caressed in the endlessness of the universe
even our bodies are really ours, listen to our thoughts and directions
our hearts sing to us of the beauty and light of the universe
we are all home!
in our bodies, on our planet, in our universe
We are all one body of light connected
one shiny ribbon of sight and sound, creating each other
we are safe
we all know that there are no secrets
only one heart
beating through infinity
we belong here
we are home

The world gives birth to us slowly and quietly
that we don't even know we're alive
we can't hear the pain anymore
we just drift from moment to moment
breathing subtle plans, moving along a river of questions and doubts
we are not born alive
Life trickles down slowly, softly
touching our souls drop by drop
walking within icicles that melt perfectly and purposely
droplets of voices that yell, "wake up, wake up"
life is hard
no, damn near impossible
Struggling through soggy puddles
of our own emotions, our own searching
our own wanting to know, muddling through
we wake up drowsy
burning with desire, hungry for knowledge
carving-out complacency
Asleep at the wheel, out of gas
trying to fill up on conversations and fairy tales
can't even buy a thrill
counting empty calories like sheep, we don't need to fall asleep
don't need anything anymoe
except to awaken
